When you view the details of a logged meal that has nutritional data, Sunu provides a comprehensive breakdown to help you understand what you've eaten.


Where to Find the Summary

After logging a meal:

  1. Navigate to the History tab
  2. Select the Meals sub-tab
  3. Tap on any meal with analyzed items
  4. Scroll to the Nutrition section on the Meal Detail screen

What the Summary Includes

Total Calories

A prominent display of the total estimated calories for the entire meal. This is the sum of calories from all items in the meal.

Why it matters: Calories represent the energy your body gets from food. Understanding calorie intake helps with weight management and energy balance.


Nutrition Overview

A card showing the total grams of:

  • Protein — Builds and repairs tissues, supports immune function
  • Carbohydrates — Provides energy for daily activities and brain function
  • Fat — Essential for hormone production and nutrient absorption

Macronutrient Breakdown

A visual representation showing the percentage of calories that came from protein, carbs, and fat.

Example:

  • 30% Protein (240 calories)
  • 40% Carbohydrates (320 calories)
  • 30% Fat (240 calories)
  • Total: 800 calories

This helps you understand the meal's balance and composition at a glance.
