Changing Your Apple ID
If You Get a New Apple ID
What happens:
- Your current Sunu account stays with old Apple ID
- Cannot transfer to new Apple ID automatically
- Would need to create new Sunu account
Before switching:
- Export all your health data
- Save important chat histories
- Note your subscription status
- Consider keeping old Apple ID
Better approach:
- Keep using current Apple ID for Sunu
- Just update email address in Sunu app
- No need to change Apple ID itself
Account Recovery
If You Lose Access
Recovery options:
- Sign in with Apple on new device
- Use same Apple ID credentials
- Your Sunu account remains accessible
- Subscription and data preserved
What persists:
- All your health data
- Chat histories
- Account settings
- Subscription status
What doesn't transfer:
- Local device data (if not backed up)
- Some preferences may need resetting
- Need to reconnect Apple Health
Deleting Your Account
Account Deletion
Currently handled through support:
Step 1: Go to Profile > Account
Step 2: Look for "Delete Account" option (or contact support)
Step 3: Confirm you understand data loss
Step 4: Verify decision
What gets deleted:
- Your account and profile
- Chat histories
- Saved preferences
- Subscription (if any)
What remains:
- Apple Health data (untouched)
- Local iPhone data (until app deleted)
- Subscription through Apple (must cancel separately)
⚠️ Important Notes
The email address associated with your "Sign in with Apple" account may be different from the contact email you provide in Sunu, especially if you chose "Hide My Email" during setup. Update your contact email in the app to ensure you receive important communications.
🔒 Privacy Tip
If you're concerned about privacy, you can use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature for authentication while providing your real email in the app settings for better communication. This gives you both privacy and functionality.
