Pinning Your Favorite Metrics

Learn how to customize your Home tab by selecting which health metrics to display for quick access.

The "Pinned" section on your Home tab is your personal, at-a-glance view of the health metrics that matter most to you. You can customize this section to show exactly what you want to see.

How to Select Your Pinned Metrics

Step 1: On the Home tab, find the Pinned section header

Step 2: Tap the pin icon (📌) next to the "Pinned" header — this opens the Pinned Metrics selector

Step 3: You'll see a list of all available health metrics

Step 4: Tap any metric to toggle it on or off. A checkmark appears next to selected metrics.

Step 5: Close the selector when you're done — your selections save automatically

Your Home tab will now display a card for each metric you selected, showing its most recent value.

Tips for Organizing Your Pinned Metrics

Start with Your Goals

Pin metrics that directly relate to your current health goals:

  • Weight loss? Pin: Weight, Active Calories, Steps
  • Better sleep? Pin: Sleep Duration, HRV, Readiness
  • Fitness improvement? Pin: VO₂ Max, Exercise Minutes, Fitness Age

Keep It Focused

Don't pin too many metrics — it can become overwhelming. Start with 4-6 metrics that you check most frequently.

Review Regularly

Your health priorities may change over time. Review and update your pinned metrics monthly.

Use Seasonal Adjustments

  • Summer: Pin hydration and outdoor activity metrics
  • Winter: Pin sleep quality and illness indicators
  • Training season: Pin fitness and recovery metrics

What If a Metric Shows "No Data"?

If a pinned metric card shows "No Data", it means there are no recent readings for that metric in your connected health source (Apple Health on iOS, Health Connect on Android).

Why This Happens

  • The metric hasn't been tracked yet
  • Your wearable or phone doesn't support that measurement
  • Permissions for that data type aren't granted
  • Data hasn't synced recently

How to Fix It

For Wearable Metrics (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, etc.):

  • Ensure your device is paired and worn consistently
  • Check that the metric is tracked by your wearable

For Manual Metrics:

  • Some metrics (like weight, blood pressure) must be entered manually or synced from a compatible device

For Permission Issues (iOS):

  1. Go to iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Sunu
  2. Enable read access for the specific category

For Permission Issues (Android):

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Health Connect → App permissions → Sunu
  2. Toggle on the specific data type

Interacting with Pinned Metric Cards

Tap to View Details

Tap any pinned metric card to:

  • See a detailed history and trend chart
  • View all readings for that day
  • Ask the AI questions about the metric

Pull to Refresh

Pull down on the Home tab to sync the latest data from Apple Health or Health Connect and update all your pinned metrics.

Rearrange (Coming Soon)

In future updates, you'll be able to drag and drop cards to reorder them according to your preference.

💡 Pro-Tip

Pin the metrics that change most frequently and that you want to monitor daily. For less frequent measurements (like weight or blood pressure), you can access them directly from the History tab when needed.
