Reading Your AI-Generated Daily Summary

Learn how to view and interpret the AI's daily analysis of your health data and progress.

Each day, Sunu's AI can analyze your latest health data to provide a concise, intelligent summary of your progress and highlight important insights.


How It Works

On-Demand Generation

The Daily Health Summary card always appears on your Home tab. To generate today's insights, tap the Generate Insights button on the card. Sunu analyzes your latest health data and delivers a personalized summary in a few seconds.

Push-Triggered Summaries

If you've enabled push notifications and configured a daily summary time in Profile β†’ Notifications, Sunu will automatically generate a summary in the background and surface it as a notification. Tapping the notification opens the app with today's summary ready to view.


The Summary Card

What You'll See

Title & Body The card shows a title and a short, one- or two-sentence summary of the key insight for the day.

Example titles:

  • "Great Recovery Night"
  • "Active Day Achievement"
  • "Rest Day Recommended"

Timestamp Shows when the summary was generated (e.g., "Generated this morning").

Refresh/Generate Button If a summary hasn't been generated yet for the day, or if you have new data, you can tap the Generate Insights button to request a new summary.


Viewing the Full Details

Tap anywhere on the summary card to open a detailed view. This full view includes:

Expanded Summary

A more comprehensive analysis of your overall health status and recent patterns.

Key Achievements

A bulleted list highlighting your accomplishments:

  • "Hit your step goal of 10,000 steps"
  • "Completed 8 hours of quality sleep"
  • "Maintained consistent HRV levels"
  • "Logged 2 balanced meals"

Recommended Actions

Personalized suggestions based on your data:

  • "Consider a lighter workout today due to lower readiness"
  • "Aim for 2L of water to support your activity level"
  • "Try to go to bed 30 minutes earlier tonight"
  • "Add more protein to your next meal"

Sleep Insights

Specific analysis of your recent sleep session:

  • Total duration and time in bed
  • Sleep quality rating
  • Deep sleep and REM percentages
  • Comparison to your average

Activity Insights

Overview of your recent physical activity:

  • Steps taken and active calories
  • Workout summary (if applicable)
  • Activity patterns throughout the day
  • Comparison to your goals

Motivation Boost

An encouraging message to keep you motivated and engaged with your health journey.


Regenerating Summaries

Manual Refresh

If you want an updated summary based on new data:

Step 1: Find the Daily Health Summary card on the Home tab

Step 2: Tap the Generate Insights button in the top right of the card

Step 3: Wait a few seconds while the AI analyzes your latest data

Step 4: The summary will update with fresh insights

When to Refresh

  • After syncing new data from Apple Health
  • After completing a workout you want reflected
  • After logging meals or check-ins
  • When you want a fresh perspective on your day

Contextual Analysis

Privacy & Data Usage

How Your Data Is Used

  • Summaries are generated using your health data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android)
  • Analysis happens securely and respects your privacy
  • Data is not shared without your permission
  • You control which metrics the AI can access

What Gets Analyzed

The AI considers:

  • Sleep duration and quality

  • Logged meals and nutrition

Tips for Better Summaries

Consistent Tracking

The more complete your health data, the better the summaries:

  • Wear your Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, or another supported wearable regularly
  • Log meals consistently
  • Complete daily check-ins
  • Keep Apple Health or Health Connect syncing in the background

Define your health goals in the app so the AI can:
